Brooklyn, Nov. 1…The vaccine mandate layoffs depleting New York City firehouses and police precincts are putting families in serious jeopardy and should immediately be rescinded, Brooklyn businessman and City Council candidate Brian Fox today said.

“This is nuts. The 68th Precinct in Bay Ridge is at half capacity and FDNY Ladder 109 in Bay Ridge, Engine 284 in Dyker Heights, Engine 243 and Ladder 168 in Bath Beach are all shut down. The City needs to get these men and women back on the job before people die,” Mr. Fox said.

Mr. Fox who’s challenging vaccine-layoff supporter Justin Brannan, the incumbent council member in New York City’s 43rd District, spent the weekend warning the community about what was coming.

“The City knew this would happen, and yet it kept this asinine, inflexible policy in place,” Mr. Fox said. “I spent the entire weekend waving a red flag with cops and firefighters, and yet here we are. New York City desperately needs new leaders.”
